The Seychelles Trading Company (STC) in partnership with The Hassani Group of Companies from Dubai recently hosted a special Christmas donation event to promote the spirit of Christmas whilst continuously reaching out to those in need in the local community.
This very special event took place at The Regional Home of the elderly with a presentation of a large donation of MELODY milk to the Management and residents of three elderly homes at North East Point namely The Regional Home of the elderly, North East Point Hospital and the Hospice.
The official handing over ceremony was done by the Managing Director of The Hassani Group of Companies, Mr. Mahmood Hassani who presented the first batch of milk to the Minister of Health, Mrs. Mitcy Larue in the presence of the CEO of STC, Ms Veronique Laporte together with the Deputy CEO from Seychelles Health Care Agency, Dr. Danny Louange who in return thanked the sponsors on behalf of the Ministry of Health for the donation of the full cream powdered milk; being very essential goods used daily by the elderly residents at the homes.
On his side, Mr. Mahmood Hassani who has been a faithful business partner with STC for more than 6 years said that he is always very happy to donate towards such good cause especially for those who are more dependent.
This event is aimed to not only enhance the daily life of the elderly residents by meeting their basic needs but to also encourage others to reflect on such meaningful initiatives which can help make a difference in the lives of our elderly citizens especially during the most special time of the year, the festive season.
