Furthering its commitment towards its Corporate Social Responsibility Program, The Seychelles Trading Company (STC) honored the senior citizens with a donation event to commemorate International Day for the elderly.
The donation activity was held on Wednesday 01st October 2014 at The Regional Home of the elderly with a presentation of 6 TV sets to the Management and residents of the home at North East Point.
The official handed over ceremony was done by the CEO of STC, Ms Veronique Laporte together with the Deputy CEO from Seychelles Health Care Agency, Dr. Danny Louange who accepted the donation on behalf of the Ministry of Health.
Whilst addressing the residents on their day, STC CEO Ms. Laporte commended the elderly for their great work and their valued contribution which they have embedded in the society.
On her side, Mrs. Anne Desir, responsible for the daily running of the home at North East Point, thanked the STC team for their visit as well as the company’s donation and support towards such meaningful event. 6 rooms in total are expected to be equipped with new TV sets, creating a stimulating environment in addition to other activities for the resident’s participation and enjoyment.
This event is aimed to not only enhance the daily life and quality care of the elderly residents but to also highlight the value of STC’s corporate social responsibility initiative towards the community.
