Helping consumers make healthy food choices is the focus of this year’s World Consumer Rights Day (March 15).
To coincide with the official theme which was officially launched as ‘Consumers Rights to Healthy Food’, an open exhibition was held on Monday 16th March 2015 at Orion Mall Building in Victoria.
The one day event was hosted by NATCOF whilst bringing on board various other local partners such as STC, FTC as well as The Ministry of Health, supporting the ongoing national campaign for a healthier nation.
Showcasing a variety of healthy products from the Healthy corner at STC supermarkets; STC’s booth attracted a good number of visitors, allowing consumers to learn more about the healthy range, in addition to on site information which was being provided by STC’s consultant for healthy products, Mr. Pascal Chang Leng.
Consumers also got the chance to sample the healthy products targeted towards health conscious consumers who are looking for healthier alternatives, included mainly of natural, fresh and organic products.
The exhibition was aimed not only to educate people on healthy lifestyle choices but to also increase awareness on the availability, accessibility and affordability of healthy and nutritious foods available for all Seychellois people in the country.
